Reindeer Run 5k!

I have to brag on my daughter this morning.  She finished the Reindeer Run, her first run, this weekend.  She and her soon to be bonus mom and her daughter all did it together.  Macy said she was tired but it was really fun.  I told her I hoped she and I would be able to do one very soon.  I'm so proud of her!

Another Milestone Met!

Just past another milestone!  I noticed on his math facts that he has done very well on subtraction.  I also noticed the last 2 days he has written all of his numbers correctly - in the correct direction.  I asked him about it and if he did something different and he said - I just thought of it in my brain and all the numbers "point" this way (he pointed to the left). I said OH!  Great job buddy. So obviously something has "clicked" in his mind about the orientation of numbers. I'm so proud of him!!! In the eye therapy world this month he has to do right and left exercises.  The doctor explained it would help with orientation of his body in this world.  Not sure it was the exercises alone but something "clicked" for him over the past 2 weeks!!!

From the Door to Dinner in less Time

After a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is think about what to cook for supper.  But you know that is the first question on the minds of your hubby and kids.  So, I've learned some shortcuts to make meal time quick and easy but still feel and taste like homemade. Chicken Dishes A wonderfully wise woman shared with me one time that if you buy the frozen chicken tenders rather than the frozen chicken breast, they cook faster.  I don't usually know the morning of what we will have for dinner that night, so for me, defrosting takes valuable time.  If you buy the big bag of frozen tenders, you don't have to defrost them before you cook them.
