Lavender


This was one of the first oils used in my home.  The smell was a beautiful scent and we use it for many, many things throughout our home.  The best and most frequent use is for nighttime relaxation.  My children each have a roller ball bottle filled with several oils that they roll on before bed.  We just incorporated it into our nightly routine.  Right after brushing their teeth, while I'm tucking them in, I will either roll some oils on the bottom of their feet or they will.  It's super easy and they loved helping me make them.  This is a great first way to incorporate oils into your usual routine.

Lavender is known for it's relaxing quality and is great to inhale when you've had a stressful day and you're home and want to unwind or settle down.  I carry Lavender with me in case I encounter an anxious situation.  I simply put one drop in my palm and rub my hands together and inhale deeply about 4-5 times.  It always puts me back in the right frame of mind.
